Yarn, yarn, and more yarn!

Here are the four skeins of yarn that I bought last night.

My Walmart had a limited supply of nice yarns, but these are very soft, and the right weight for most of the projects in my new books. After looking through the stash of yarn that I already had at home, I can see that some plain colors don't hurt my collection at all. :oD

My first knitting project

Ta-da! The stockinette scarf. I started this scarf after watching only 3 chapters of my new dvd: The Complete Beginner's Guide to Knitting, by Nici McNally. My grandparents gave it to me for my recent birthday, and I would HIGHLY recommend it to ANYONE who wants to learn. The chapters are short and to the point and extremely easy to follow. This dvd made it so simple to learn.
