Do-it-yourself infinity scarf

I found this handy little tutorial in my email inbox today. Check it out and enjoy! :)

Etsian of the Week - Silkiness

I'm proud to present the talented work of my friend Elizabeth. I recently found out that she has started an Etsy shop where she sells her absolutely gorgeous handpainted scarves and neckties. I have painted a scarf before, and let me tell you, it takes practice and a lot of talent to paint them like Elizabeth does. So please take a moment to browse through her lovely shop........Silkiness, and if you like what you see, snap one up! They are one-of-a-kinds. My favorite is the green necktie.............now if only I had a man to wear it! ;-)

My first knitting project

Ta-da! The stockinette scarf. I started this scarf after watching only 3 chapters of my new dvd: The Complete Beginner's Guide to Knitting, by Nici McNally. My grandparents gave it to me for my recent birthday, and I would HIGHLY recommend it to ANYONE who wants to learn. The chapters are short and to the point and extremely easy to follow. This dvd made it so simple to learn.
